Last day in Nakuru

Wow-- we had quite the long day finishing our time in Nakuru.

We started our day collecting data on buffalo and zebra on our game drives for independent research projects comparing behavior between Nakuru and the Mara, made our way to an overlook of the lake for a picnic lunch, took a pit stop at a waterfall to enjoy the scenery, and ended by visiting the home of one of our guides who lives nearby the park.

An excellent way to finish our time in Nakuru. Off to the Mara tomorrow (or to-Mara if you're into puns...)!!

Some students enjoying our time overlooking the lake at baboon cliff.

The whole beam crew at Makalia Falls.

Getting a tour of Isaac's (one of our safari guide's) house. So many chickens and goats!

Enjoying a cup of traditional Kenyan chai (tea).

Grabbing a quick photo with Isaac, his wife, and his 93 year old mother before heading back to the park.
