Last day in Meru

Our last day in Meru started with a beautiful sunrise behind the Acacia trees.

Now that we are all settled in, the students have begun work on their assignments. This means that in addition to cruising around the park looking for fun animals, the game drives now also involve collecting observational data. One such assigment is the ethogram, where students practice creating a rogorous list of behaviors specific to a certain species. Here is a demo ethogram of BEAM student behaviors.

Just because we are doing work on the game drives doesn't mean we aren't having fun! Exciting animals and behaviors are found around every bend in the road, and even here at camp!
